We are recruiting an outgoing, confident, professional person on behalf of our client for a Receptionist/Office Assistant position.
The Role:
The role will be based in our client’s Head Office in West Hampstead, North West London. The main objective of the role will be to provide a professional point of contact for the organisation. The successful candidate will deal with all front of house duties, as well as high volumes of telephone enquiries and visitors. You will also be offering office administration support to a team of 25 staff. Due to the nature of the role you will need to be exceptionally organised, with an excellent telephone manner with a clear, well spoken voice and warm and welcoming personality.
In many cases you will be the first point of contact for the organisation, therefore, customer service skills and attitude are vital.
Main Duties:
- Greeting visitors and directing them to the correct person or department
- Dealing with telephone enquiries
- Providing information and answering queries
- Answering calls and taking messages
- Keeping the reception area tidy
- File and retrieve information and documents
- Provide support on reception
- Photocopy documents
- Deal with incoming and outgoing post
- Carry out general administration tasks
- Managing online database and setting up new client accounts
- Dealing with suppliers
- Adding orders to the system
- Ad-hoc errands for the office, i.e. going to the bank, post office etc you may be required to drive a company vehicle so you must hold a valid driving licence
Skills and experience required:
- A minimum of two years experience in a busy office environment
- Driving licence
- An outgoing, confident and pleasant personality
- A smart appearance
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Good organisational skills
- The ability to stay calm under pressure
- The ability to be courteous but firm when dealing with difficult or impatient people
- Good IT skills
- The ability to use office equipment such as switchboards, fax machines, franking machines, scanners and photocopiers
Salary of up to £18,000 depending on experience. 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
